To start out, we will discuss where and when you want to travel, the length of your stay, what you would like to see and do and the type of accommodations you prefer. We will also cover any special requests you may have to celebrate, an event or anniversary. A sample itinerary will be drafted and general ideas will be shared on how to get there, where to stay and what to see.

We will design your itinerary, checking the airline and train schedules, car rental locations and other components of your trip. Once the initial itinerary is complete, you will receive a copy by mail or email and a phone call.

Reservations

When you approve the itinerary, we will reserve the airline tickets. Please be aware that you will need to call the airlines direct if you are redeeming frequent filyer miles. We will follow this by sending you a short list of hotels on your itinerary. The selection is based on personal experience, location, prices and feedback from previous clients. Some hotels are reserved through reputable tour operators and will need a deposit within three days of confirmation and paid in full sixty days prior to departure. Other hotels will be guaranteed with your credit card.

House Rental

If your itinerary includes a house rental, we will send you several options from which to choose based on your specific requirements such as location, number of people in your party, style of house and your budget. We will counsel you through the process of choosing the right rental. For the best selection and availability, a house rental should be reserved months in advance. For June and July, reservations should be made in October or November of the previous year.

Other Arrangements

Rental cars will be reserved along with sightseeing tours, museum passes or guided tours and any special request such as a cooking class or a wine tour that will add an unique touch to your trip. Finally, we will make arrangements for the trains which can only be reserved within sixty days of travel. The Eurostar and selected fast European trains can be reserved within ninety days of travel.

Travel Documents and Information Packet

Two to three weeks prior to departure, Bon Voyage Travels will provide your final itinerary along with airline tickets and confirmation, hotels vouchers and confirmation, car rental vouchers and maps, sightseeing confirmation and museums vouchers, train tickets and schedules, and the Bon Voyage Travel guide containing important tips about money, do’s and don't, and safety tips and much more....
